Community Outreach/Speakers Bureau
Gulfside Regional Hospice participates in outreach events on various topics surrounding caregiver resources, healthcare decision making,
grief and loss, and end-of-life care issues.
Activities include speaking engagements, community tours of our Gulfside Center for Hospice Care, information booths at health or
community fairs, and other community events. Members of our Speakers Bureau are available to present at local organizations and businesses.
Our Speakers Bureau service is free of charge – it’s part of our deep commitment to building a stronger, healthier and more informed
community on end-of-life issues. We have a wide variety of presenters available who can speak on a number of popular topics including:
• Hospice 101
• The Five Myths of Hospice
• Palliative Care/How Hospice Can Help Sooner
• Advance Directives (living wills and durable health care power of attorney)
• Adult Grief/Children’s Grief
• Grief in the Workplace
Gulfside’s Education department is also available to conduct in-service training sessions for health care professionals at no charge
on end-of-life issues such as:
• Alzheimer’s Disease
• Domestic Violence
• Failure to Thrive
• Grief and Bereavement
• Pain Management for Nurses
• The Active Dying Process
